The first 14 days are free and no card is asked for. Add a card during the trial and the first charge is on the day it ends; do not, and your workspace becomes read-only with nothing deleted. Renews monthly at the price above until you cancel. We email you before any price change. Cancel any time from your account page. You keep Pro to the end of the paid month, and your invoices and clients stay exportable for 90 days after.
Online payments: Stripe's processing fee plus a 1% platform fee per payment, deducted before your payout.
Why not just use an accounting suite?
Need double-entry bookkeeping, payroll and a chart of accounts? Buy a suite, and let your accountant choose it. Need the invoice raised right and the balance chased? That is the product.
Suite pricing, for the record: FreshBooks Lite is $23 per month at its regular price and lets you send invoices to 5 clients; FreshBooks Plus is $43 per month; extra team members are $11 per month per user (freshbooks.com/pricing, retrieved 2026-09-02).
